"Ten years ago, Tom knocked on my door with
a promise to return neighborhood schools to
the city. Tom Ashe kept his word, saved the
city million in transportation costs, and we
kept our children in the Springfield Public
Schools. - Annette Grasso

We must select our priorities, monitor our
spending, measure our performance, and most
of all, keep government accountable,
accessible and transparent.
"Tom Ashe has been an effective leader on
the School Committee. I've worked closely
with Tom on issues like truancy and I know I
can work with Tom on other public safety
issues. Tom Ashe is just what the City
Council needs." - Sheriff Michael J. Ashe
Jr.

Crime is out of control and we are loosing
the battle. It is a problem that calls for
new solutions which are rooted in
partnership between city departments,
community organizations, neighborhoods,
civic and religious groups.
"I live on a fixed income and I know that I
have to limit my spending. Tom understands
the financial restraints people are facing
today and he knows how to balance a budged;
he will control spending. I trust Tom
Ashe."- Norman Saunders

Government must learn to live within its
means and address the underlying imbalance
between revenues and expenditures.
